IRS Simplifies Home Office Deduction for 2013

IR-2013-5, Jan. 15, 2013

“WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today announced a simplified option that many owners of home-based businesses and some home-based workers may use to figure their deductions for the business use of their homes”.

With more business owners using their homes as the headquarters for their new businesses, the IRS has simplified the process of claiming the Home Office Deduction.
